Dr. Martha Hawksworth
A 2006 graduate of Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Martha Hawksworth’s quick-thinking and superior medical skills made her the perfect candidate for emergency and conventional veterinary medicine. She went on to practice at a mixed animal practice in Virginia, before returning to complete an internship in emergency medicine in Chicago. After leaving the Windy City, Dr. Hawksworth moved east to become the Medical Director of a small animal hospital in Westfield, Massachusetts. She returned home to Watkins Glen in November 2010 with the goal of opening up her own animal hospital. Her interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, emergency medicine, public health, and global veterinary medicine. In her spare time, Dr. Hawksworth enjoys hiking with her Australian Cattle Dog Farmer, spending time with her husband, Paul Bartow, running, and riding her horse.
